Fast forward to my college years. I was failing at being pre-med and trying to decide what I should switch my major to. After much deliberation, I decided on business, but I knew that I did not want to work for someone else forever, so I decided I would use what I was going to learn to someday start my own company.

I moved a step closer to fulfilling this sometime later, in 2018, when I decided to go ahead and file for an LLC and I knew exactly what the name of that company had to be: Peaceful Turtle (I added enterprises to make it sound more professional). So, now I had officially registered my company, the only problem being that I did not know what I was going to do with it.

Around this time, I had come up with a card game with some help from some friends, but the idea of selling this game through Peaceful Turtle didn’t really enter my mind. So, I began trying to come up with something and I finally decided on t-shirts. They seemed simple and I knew a lot of artists who could provide designs. But this proved to have more obstacles than I was expecting, and I soon ran out of money and the company was mothballed.

Soon after this, I graduated from college and got a job. I did not enjoy this, but I was making money, so that was nice. During this time, my girlfriend and I came up with another game, which would come to be known as We’re All Friends Here. The early version proved to be rather popular with our friends and we enjoyed making the many different cards. Now with two games created, I started to really consider selling them through my company.

It was around this time that I lost my job. The company I was working for was going through some trouble and could no longer keep me on. So, I decided to take this opportunity to focus on getting these games to the point where I could sell them, and, this time, I have a lot more money saved up, so hopefully past mistakes will not repeat themselves. Beyond that, games are something I’m much more passionate about (especially considering I own and play hundreds of them).

That all brings us to now. Peaceful Turtle is slowly becoming a board game/card game company, as well as selling some stickers when the ideas come to us. It has been a shit load of fun making and testing our products. My hope is that our customers enjoy them just as much as we do.
